Muddy Shoes, a Waterfall, and Leptospirosis

I promised I'd blog....  what have I gotten myself into?  What I should have done was blogged before my friend did.... cause now there's pressure and a sense of inadequacy.  Damn.

Go read his blog first if you haven't already:

"hookups aren't the only adventures that start in a shady lot at the end of the road"

Last week we went on another hiking adventure.  Lulumahu Falls here we come...

So on our way through the bamboo... and other greenery... Jared says "I may or may not get us lost"  um...  great.  Tell that to the most anxious person alive.

Walking stick... oh no... FIGHTING STICK!

LOOK.AT.THIS....

Your Friendly Neighborhood Hiking Guide...

As we were hiking... someone seemed to have issues with his shoe laces... each time he bent over to tie his shoes... the Spongebob Squarepants "Loop De Loop" song kept playing in my head.

Jared... I think you need to learn to tie your shoes from Spongebob.

Then he was fighting with my camera.

We finally made it to the falls... after taking a detour or two off the normal trail...
it was beautiful.  Peaceful.  I think we could have stayed there for hours had our stomachs not started growling.

I really need my reflector next time....

T25 is teaching them how to balance ... and stretch their gluteus maximus.
GET DOWN LOWER, JARED!

We headed back and decided to go on another adventure....
I broke in my brand new shoes in the muddy lepto infested waters .... but it was so worth it.

Wheeeee....  Fly, Jared FLYYYYYYYYY!!!!

"EVERYTHING IS AWESOME... "

Have you seen the Lego Movie?  Here we are ... attempting to recreate Emmet's Jumping Jack Scene.

Annie nailed it... while I .... Need to learn how to jump on 1-2-3.

Poor Mark... ended up being their punching bag.

After goofing off in the middle of the road (yes kids... do as I say... not as I do) we headed to another short trail to go see the Kaniakapupu Ruins.

This tree, tho.  Eerie... yet, breathtaking.

This ended our hiking adventure for the day... and this blog ended up being photo heavy with few words in between.

Smile a Little More, Regret a Little Less

Hello 2014... Nice of you to finally show up.  We've all been awaiting your arrival.  With a new year.... a new blog has been created and the website will be completely redone. Out with the old... in with the new.

2013 ... you were rough.  Lessons learned... changes made. But I got to celebrate the end of you with a photoshoot with one of my favorite people.  We were able to squeeze her in right before she flew back to Michigan for school.

Greeted the New Year at our annual sunrise meet at Sandy Beach.

What's next?  Prepping for our upcoming dance project in collaboration with 24-7 Danceforce.  This has been in the works for some time now... I'm so thrilled to be working with such talented dancers.
